We are a Title I school. My classroom is racially, ethnically, economically, and linguistically diverse. Approximately 40% of our school's 455 students qualify for free or reduced rate lunch; 30% of students speak a language other than English at home and 16% qualify for special education services.
An active and engaging classroom is what we love to come to every day!
My students are active learners who love to use tools in the classroom to support their engagement and love of school!
Our school's core values are Academic Excellence, Community, Collaboration, and Respect for Human Differences. We celebrate diversity and work together as a community in our classroom!
This specific classroom carpet has 6 rows of 5 colors providing 30 carpet spots. Each student gets their own spot on the carpet allowing them to feel comfortable and prepared to learn. Students use this carpet during whole class lessons and then during independent working time such as literacy centers.
A classroom carpet will support a comfortable and organized classroom for my students.
The color-coded rows make it easy to divide the class into small groups which helps with structure and clarity for students. For the last year another teacher in my school has let me use this carpet. It is time for me to return the carpet, but it has been such an amazing addition to my classroom! I want ensure my incoming students for next year have this classroom carpet.
