My pre-kindergartners are eager and energetic students who love to learn. My students are bright, wonderful children who deserve a beautiful classroom environment so they can thrive.
For many students, it is their first time in school and away from home.
Many of my students are socio-economically disadvantaged and all students in our school qualify for the free breakfast and lunch programs. My classroom is made up from students from Mexico, India, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and numerous other places around the world. My students may come from different geographic locations, but they all are so happy to be in school. They are eager to participate in all activities. My job as an educator is to make their first experience in school a positive one.
I am asking for new tables so my children can have somewhere safe and comfortable to work and eat during the day. By having four different colored tables in the classroom, each child will know which table is theirs and where they should sit. This will help aid learning because less time will be wasted by the children not knowing where they should be. Throughout the day, these tables are used for breakfast, small group, work time and lunch.
My current tables are old and not very comfortable for the children because they sometimes wobble and are too high.
My current tables are a mismatch of random tables I have been able to acquire over the years. By having these new tables, it will make the classroom more efficient as well as more beautiful.
These tables will aid in learning because I can then pair certain students together. I can pair quieter students with students who are more talkative. I could also pair bi-lingual students with their peers who are learning English for the first time. It will help students become more comfortable and enjoy every learning experience.
