My Project

The carpet is a focal point in our classroom. My students sit on the carpet many times during the day for various activities, including morning meetings, math, science, reading, and end of the day debriefing. There is just not enough room on our current carpet for everyone to sit comfortably in their own space and it's just a really old carpet. With the new carpet, each student will have a well-defined place. Having room for all the students to be at the carpet will minimize off task behaviors and it's easier for students to hear being closer to the teacher.
