My Students
My students arrive at school every day with a love for learning. My students with disabilities are unable to communicate their feelings with others most of the time.
I teach at a Title I public elementary school in Texas where over 80% of our students are economically disadvantaged.
Several of my students do not have their own devices to participate in virtual learning. In order to have success in school and in their future careers, my students need the tools to communicate their feelings and information to their peers and teachers.
My Project
All students deserve the benefits of direct instruction and a chance to grow as persons. Teachers lead small groups at kidney or horseshoe tables. With our growing special education population, students need specialized instruction to address their particular needs.
With the help of your donations, our students will have an opportunity to grow in small groups as well as receive the furnished classroom they deserve!
A kidney table would be the centerpiece for our area for instruction where students receive small group instruction. This small group instruction would supplement lessons taught during whole group. In small groups, we would target specific skills.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
