Help me give my students a Canon PowerShot SX530 16.0-Megapixel HS Digital Camera and SanDisk Memory Card so we take pictures for our school yearbook and at school events!
We are an alternative high school based on philosophies that teach our students the values and skills necessary to succeed in a diverse and ever-changing global society. We strive to create an atmosphere of high expectations and joyful learning where students are encouraged to work together, take academic risks, think critically, and pursue successful careers and higher education.
We strive to convey and instill in our students the knowledge and experiences they need to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.
We serve students in grades 9-12, often from troubled backgrounds, families plagued with abuse, neglect, drugs, gangs, and violence, and/or emotional and learning disabilities, special needs that prohibit their success in a traditional high school setting. For these students, we offer a safe, supportive atmosphere with personalized instruction.
My Project
We need a Canon PowerShot SX530 16.0-Megapixel HS Digital Camera and Memory Card for memory storage for our school so we can take pictures at school events, during our school day, or school activities, of our students and staff, so we can create a school yearbook for our students.
We are a very small school.
We make our own yearbook so our students will have the opportunity to look back on their high school years and cherish the memories they made during this pivotal time in their lives. Last year's yearbook was kind of a mess because our camera broke and we were not able to capture consistent quality photos with the appropriate camera and software. Instead, we cobbled together phone pictures and had to use Microsoft Paint, Word, and Google Docs. We need to have a semi-professional camera with software that will allow us to make a professional yearbook product!
