Our classroom needs to update our tired, black and white TV to a high definition plasma screen! My 5th grade classroom currently has an outdated, low quality document camera that is blurry, unreliable, and hard for students to see. We need an upgrade to bring our classroom into the 21st century!
Our school is a Title I school in low economic standing.
We have been in a budget crunch for the past several years and haven't been able to keep up with the ever-changing technology in our classrooms. While we work hard to keep on the cutting edge, our financial situation holds us back from utilizing all the technology that is available. Our classroom of 25 students benefits from using our computer and projector, but we aren't able to clearly display books, activities, and student work for all learners to easily see. These hard working 5th graders need a high quality document camera to properly project our classroom materials!
My Project
A new, high quality document camera will bring learning to life in our classroom. Currently, we must turn off all of our classroom lights so that we can see the images displayed from our document camera. The cutting-edge Elmo TT-12 Document Camera will display high definition images for all students to view. The bright, built in LED lamp will eliminate the need for turning off all our classroom lights just to see. We will be able display live images as we work, take still photos, record video and high quality audio. This technology will not only enhance real-time learning, it will also allow students to use photos, videos, and audio for multi-media presentations.

Currently, my students aren't getting the clearest picture possible in our classroom. With a new, high quality Elmo document camera, we will be able to provide a clearer, more vivid experience to our class. The new camera will inspire and capture students' attention while improving our learning environment. Please, help bring our classroom into a clearer, brighter 21st century!
