Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our 6th-grade students are some of the most dedicated learners with a vast range of personalities, and talents. We love seeing that light go on in their mind when they suddenly understand something they have struggled with. They work very hard filling in learning gaps and striving for the best every day, preparing for college readiness using AVID strategies and using a wide variety of resources and technology. The only thing that they need is the proper tools to succeed.
My Project
This project centers around students being able to view instructional materials such as charts and graphs in color and have the ability to present their ideas and projects. The power of having a color printer usable by our 6th grade students would allow them to print final color representations of their thoughts, ideas, and projects throughout the year. It would also allow our 6th grade staff to print out charts and graphs in color for students as instructional materials that cannot easily be seen in black and white, or monochrome. We are an AVID school and district. We are preparing these students to compete in the 21st century.
