My school is a top-ranked school in my state, but that does not mean that all my students are at the top of their game in academics. The students that I teach are as diverse in their learning capabilities as the diversity in the different counties in my state. The honors students that I have are ready for anything I put before them and are eager to set the world on fire. What my special needs students lack in academic ability, they make up for with their effort.
The students that I teach are recovering from a devastating blow from Hurricane Florence, and they are doing so with great strength and character.
Besides sharing in their resiliency, my students share a yearning to do their best and to succeed in the 21st century. They work well with others and give their best efforts in all that they do.
My Project
My yearbook students want to cover the energy and life that our school still has after the devastating blow that Hurricane Florence dealt our community. The Canon camera with telephoto and wide angle lens bundle will give my students a way to capture the rebuilding of our school, families, and community. The wide lens will offer my students a way to get the large shots they need to have quality coverage, and the telephoto lens will allow them to take photos of things that are too far away for them to get good quality photos.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and with a Canon camera bundle that comes with wide angle and telephoto lenses, my yearbook students will be able to capture professional photos for our yearbook so that our entire school and community can have a record of these memories forever.
