This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a very diverse group of motivated and hardworking children. Classes range from 10th to 12th graders and I have great mix of all levels and abilities. Currently, I teach three periods of digital photography and one period of Film and Television Production. The students use their creativity on a daily basis.

The students are hoping to become college and career ready in the area of digital photography and the many areas it entails.

Setting them up for success and piquing their creative side is the number one priority. They amaze me with their work every single day.

My Project

For this project I chose a Canon EOS digital camera that my students will be able to use every single day. This camera will allow them to take pictures in manual mode and they will dive deep into the settings and the countless creative possibilities that come with it.

Motivating and preparing these students for a career in photography is going to be possible with the use of a newer model digital camera.

This hands-on work will prepare them to be successful for years to come. Training and learning with new technology will help them be better prepared for the real world.
