My Students

Band is a class that pushes students harder than any other class. In band, students learn self-discipline, responsibility, and how to deal with other people relying on them. It helps prepare them for the real world and challenges that they will face outside the brick and mortar walls of our school.

My students strive to become the best they possibly can.

Every rehearsal is spent trying to encourage and inspire students to become a better version of themselves. In many cases, this happens through practice and the mastery of musical skills. However, the lessons they learn by doing this last them a lifetime.

My Project

The piccolo is a small instrument that has a major impact on any ensemble. Our students have been playing on piccolos that are in dire need of being replaced. Students are having to work twice as hard as they normally would need to in order to create a good sound on their instruments.

This new piccolo will help to make our band sound mighty again!

While such a small instrument may seem like it doesn't make a difference in an ensemble, it really makes a huge impact. Our ensembles are small and adding a piccolo in the mix really helps to round out our sound.
