My students need pencils, erasers and a pencil sharpener to complete our work every day and to not waste valuable class time on getting our supplies ready for the day.

My Students

I get the opportunity to teach an amazing group of students every day. My students are my heroes for overcoming low socioeconomic stereotypes to reach success in everything they dream to accomplish. My second grade students give me hope for the future not only in our community but in the entire world.

My students are wonderful, hardworking and always ready to learn and grow.

Although they have challenges in their lives, they expand their knowledge and exceed expectations on a daily basis.

My Project

It is necessary for my students to have basic supplies to complete any work.

We wouldn't ask a firefighter to fight fires without a hose or water so we shouldn't ask students to do their work without sharpened pencils and erasers.

Lack of supplies, should never be an issue for any student however, it is a reality. I absolutely love the school system that I teach in however, not every request can be fulfilled because there is a lack of funding. I am asking you to help my students overcome a simple hurdle to create a more successful and positive learning environment.
