My students need items to help them assist in improving in their writing skills. We are in dire need of those basic necessities such as dictionaries, paper and a sharpener.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
One of the most power resources we have to today is the power of expression, but how can we do that if our words are limited? My students are ready and eager to write and have the desire to express themselves with meaningful conversation and debates.
I teach a fun and intelligent group of 7th graders from Eloy, AZ, in a high poverty school.
Although their lives and circumstances may be limiting, their enthusiasm is not. They want to learn and desire to be great thinkers. I want to make sure that they have every opportunity to be great thinkers and world changers, not just note takers.
My Project
With the new resources of dictionaries and thesauruses in our classroom students will be able to look up words that they do not understand. Writing resources such as: pencils, paper, sharpener, glue will help us in our everyday writing activities, honing and improving our writing skills.
My project will help my students become independent writers and thinkers.
They will no longer depend on me to tell them the meaning of words or synonyms but they will be able to look them up for themselves. They will also have resources and materials to achieve to their highest level.
