This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students have numerous challenges. They have difficulties in academics and have been determined by various assessments to need individualized instruction. Additionally, many are English Language Learners whose parents speak little to no English. Approximately 97% of our student population are recipients of free or reduced lunch.

My district has prescribed the iReady computer program as the intervention tool to remedy their academic deficiencies; yet, there is only one student computer in my classroom.

Furthermore, my students have limited access to internet at home. Despite these obstacles to learning, my students are kindhearted, eager to learn, and resilient!

My Project

My little 3rd Grade Special Needs kids could sure use these Chromebooks! Our county has selected iReady as the online program for intervention and remediation in reading and math, and time on this program is tied directly to improved scores!

Your Chromebooks will go straight into my classroom, and be incorporated into my differentiated instruction plans from day one!

The students are excited that new computers will be forthcoming (fingers crossed!): so few of my kids have access to computers at home.

We've been limping along yearlong with one classroom computer and two 30-minute slots a week a the computer lab! My heartfelt thanks in advance!
