A Paint Easel to Help Us Paint the World!

My students need an indoor/outdoor paint easel and a drying rack so they have a place to let their art work dry.

Our classroom is a Pre-K classroom. In our classroom our students are 3 year olds and 4 year olds.

Our classroom has a paint easel, but we have had to tape up the paint trays to the easel and we have to be really careful with it. Our current easel only has two spots, and the students do not get a lot of time to paint because so many students want to paint. With the new easel, the students could paint three at a time and would not have to worry about the paint tray falling on the floor. Also, we are asking for a drying rack so the kids have a place to put their artwork to dry.

If we receive this grant for a paint easel the students will receive more time at the painting center, because they will be able to paint three at a time. Also, the students will not have to worry about the paint easel falling apart while they are trying to paint. Additionally, this paint easel will give the students the choice to paint inside or outside. The drying rack will help the students gain more independence and responsibility because they can take down their own artwork and place it on the drying rack.

You will make it make possible for our students to get more time at one of their most favorite centers because this easel will let three of them paint at the same time. You will also be helping us help them to learn independence because, with the drying rack, they will have to take down their artwork and put it in the proper area.
