My Students

My students at our highschool all qualify for Special Education Services. They all work hard and try their best, but struggle with organization skills. My students work hard each day to pass their classes and get all of their work turned in. They strive for good grades and I am so proud of them every day. My students participate in my Study Skills course to be able to achieve academic success and receive a little extra help with their core subjects.

My Project

These planners will help my students learn to keep their assignments and school activities organized. My students struggle with keeping up with their assignments and the planners will give them a visual tool to help them remember the assignments they have due and when. My students will be taught color coding by class, how to list items in order of importance and how to create a to do list. I believe my students will truly benefit from the use of these planners and their grades will improve after learning to use them. This is also a lifelong strategy that they can carry with them through adulthood.
