My students need sanitary products for home and school due to low socioeconomic status. We also need a printer and extra toner along with super glue for our clinic.
We serve over 4000 students in our school , all from various backgrounds and socio-economic groups. We have a staff of five nurses and limited supplies and funding to purchase the things we need on a daily basis to serve our students. Many of them are from broken homes and have limited resources.
We typically see 100-150 students a day in our clinic and our goal is to keep them healthy and in class.
We serve over 18 diabetic students, special needs students and many other students with seizures, sickle cell disease, chron's disease, cerebral palsy, many students with mental health issues and many kids from a Title One area.
My Project
The sanitary products are for our female students who come from a lower socioeconomic household. These supplies are needed at home and at school.
We are in need of another printer to assist us with printing our medical care plans for teachers with students who have medical problems.
We distribute these careplans to the teachers to educate them on the illnesses of the students.
The superglue will assist us with fixing our student's broken glasses. Many of our students come to school with broken glasses and have to way of getting them repaired.
These supplies will help our clinic run more efficiently.
