My Students

My school is an urban magnet school with many different students making up our community. Some live in the neighborhood surrounding the school, while others travel to be a part of what we are doing. These students come together to learn and play throughout their time in elementary school.

Students at my school are provided the opportunity to explore who they are and what they are interested in while still being a child and incorporating game-based learning into their education.

My Project

My classroom is becoming a flexible space for students to learn and work together. By having different work areas, students are able to collaborate with each other. Each of these options provide students autonomy to make choices and find success in their own ways.

This nugget couch will serve as a great place for students to meet, but also for them to create!

The couch itself can be manipulated into different configurations and used for imagination in addition to seating.

Flexible seating is an amazing thing to have in the classroom and with your support, I will be able to add another option to my ever evolving classroom!
