This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students from Memphis are part of a program that's for gifted learners called CLUE- Creative Learning in a Unique Environment. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district.
My energetic middle schoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.
They are avid readers with a quest for knowledge and a challenging learning environment. My students have a need for complex text and novels to challenge their learning.
My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that I am growing with novels for our classroom novel studies. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read.
With these new books, my students will be able to read classics and newer novels that will allow them to read novels independently both at and above their grade level.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and these novels will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
