My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many students in my classroom come to school each day ready to try new things and take risks in order to grow both personally and academically, and they always give 100% despite their hardships at home.
Our school is nestled in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Being in a small rural area, many of our families often struggle to provide opportunities and culturally rich experiences for their kids.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best varies greatly. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn!
My Project
We have students with a variety of different reading abilities in our 4th-5th grade classroom. In order to best help them develop their reading abilities, we do regular small group work with them, reading and discussing interesting and exciting books.
By donating to this project you will be helping students continue with a love of reading through engaging books.
This project will allow us to add books for our small group study that fit the needs of the students and give us a variety of books to choose from throughout the year. A good book can change your life and help you reflect on the world around you.
