My students from Sugar Land are part of the economically disadvantage elementary school. The school has students from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive. My awesome and enthusiastic students enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, explore, and grow.

They totally love hands-on, dynamic, connecting with activities and difficulties that enable them to conceive brand new ideas to discover solutions! Genuinely, they are my motivation!
My Project
The use of notebooks is almost a daily activity in my classroom. The notebooks allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to reference their notebook if they forget something. What becomes a problem is the fact that the students seem to forget to bring their notebooks. When something goes awry, students know that they must bring their notebooks to every class. Even though most of them are great about doing this, it is distracting for many of my students who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction form either myself or other students. By having notebooks, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning and growth!

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are missing, been forgotten, or they don't have it. By implementing the notebook plan, my students will begin to see themselves as true writers. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
