Our students attend an inner-city public school where approximately 90% live below the poverty line. We spend a lot of time doing hands-on learning.
All of our students receive a free or reduced-price lunch and participate in the backpack program on the weekends.
This does not stop our students from coming to school and showing their love for learning. We love to explore everything around us, both inside and outside of the classroom. We love to show what we know and learn in a hands-on way.
We need take home folders, pencil pouches, and erasers for our work! These materials will make a big difference in our world.
The heavy duty take home folders are tough enough to last a year of kindergarten and have a clear front for communication to be sent home in.
The pencil pouches make sure that everyone has a place to keep their supplies so that they don't get lost. We need big pink erasers because we know that everyone makes mistakes, and the dry marker erasers are great for our math and writing centers. We can put them to the test as we practice writing numbers, letters, and even when we learn to add!
