I serve students in Special Education grades K-5th students who need motivation. Elementary school is the most important time in a child’s life. My students are K-5 with exceptional needs. I am elated that they are excited about learning. I want to perpetuate this excitement throughout their elementary years, in hopes that they continue to possess this excitement about education into their advanced years. Therefore, I would like for my classroom to be inviting, engaging, interesting.
The holidays are coming up and I want my students to open presents.
Every choice I make sends a message to my students, their parents, and anyone who visits my classroom. They need new storybooks and other educational items to interact with during the holiday break.
Students who love school during their formative years are inclined to love learning throughout their lifetime. Elementary age students are so eager to learn. Our school is an AVID career and college readiness school and we have been working hard all summer to prepare to ensure that our students will be career and college prepared.
The items for this project will be used for the second semester in this school year for my students. The original project plan was not successful and I was not able to start the school year off successfully. Supplies are extremely short. I find myself borrowing items for my students to use in the classroom. We need more hands-on materials such as letters, numbers, and manipulatives. Your generous donation will help the students in my classroom to be successful. While technology is wonderful we still need hands-on items to make the connection between learning and reproducing the knowledge that has been learned.
