My Students

I work with students on the autism spectrum. My students are either non-verbal or have limited verbal capabilities and rely on communication devices and visuals to help them communicate.

Our typical curriculum consists of going out in the community for daily living skills and vocational practice, however due to the coronavirus we are currently unable to go out into the community.

My Project

There are many wonderful vocational and community simulation activities already created on the Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) website. TPT gift cards will help us purchase simulated activities such as: fulfilling orders, grocery shopping, stocking shelves, filing, sorting clothes, and many more. The photo storage boxes will give us a place to organize Task Cards purchased from TPT. Our goal is to create a school library of simulated activities that can benefit all of the classes at our site as well as provide a school-based job opportunity (library skills) for the students in our classroom.
