My Students
We have such a diverse group of kids at my school: kids from all different backgrounds and from different socioeconomic levels. We have gifted kids and kids with special needs.
I work directly with students who struggle with reading and math and who need some extra help to get caught up.
Many of my students are English Language Learners. They all have something in common. They all love to learn. They also love reading new books and experiencing new things.
My Project
When I was at the International Literacy Association Yearly Conference this year, I saw LCD writing tablets for the first time. I knew they were something I had to get for my students. As a literacy specialist, I guide my students in lots of writing practice including spelling, handwriting, word work and responding to reading.
These LCD writing tablets are going to bring fun and functionality to our small groups.
These will give us a chance to practice writing skills without paper. This is going to be very efficient. Students will be able to practice there spelling, phonics skills and more. Best of all, my students are going to LOVE these. It is going to be so fun watching them get motivated for writing with this new tool. Thank you so much for considering our proposal!
