This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Having a gifted class is challenging as it is. Having technology in the classroom that further motivates students is exactly what we need. These students are already high achievers, having another motivating factor such as a tablet in the classroom will allow them shine brighter.

The school we are in is a Title one school, in a low income area.

The majority of the students are from a Hispanic decent. My classroom is a gifted class, consisting mostly of girls. 14 girls and 6 boys. They are very bright students who always need a challenge to continue to excel.

My Project

Having a tablet in the classroom will allow the students to explore their education when they are finished with an assignment, which is often quickly since they are gifted. This tablet will allow them to either read new challenging books, work on school projects, or allow them to complete school web-based programs.

My project is important because I feel that every student needs the challenge in order to fully reach their capacity and their goals.

These students are bright, and usually outcast because they are the smarter group. This will allow them to challenge themselves on a different level that the school may not be able to provide.
