Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are from a low income neighborhood and attend a Title I school. Despite that our students are motivated to learn. They don't have access to many electives due to our budget. 100% of our students receive free lunch.
Despite all this our students are highly motivated individuals who want access to more programs.
They are eager to try new things and work hard in their classes. We want to introduce our students to new possibilities or future careers.
My Project
The students will be introduced to a new type of learning. These students will be solving real world problems out of everyday materials. This is a cross curricular classroom that incorporates Science, math and Language Arts. Student will study Science with hand-on activities through magazines and building.
I want to expose my students to the engineering world through reading too!
I want to show them all the amazing ideas engineers of all ages are creating. Students will be able to use their creative and machines to spread school spirit by creating vinyl stickers or cups. I would like to add the "A" in STEAM into the class by creating puzzle cubes and letting the students use the paint to make it colorful.
