My students need a way to see and engage with the material being presented in the classroom. They will greatly benefit from the visuals and will benefit from encompassing UDL principles in our daily lessons.

Hello! My name is Eric and this is my first year as a diverse learner teacher. I work with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade diverse learners and I absolutely love it. My students have various forms of disabilities and are all amazing in their own unique ways. Getting to know them and how they learn best is my primary concern at the beginning of the school year. A vast majority of the students are auditory/visual learners and I want to help them learn in whatever way works best for them.
The main thing I want for my students is to discover their passion for education and to become life-long learners.
The outlook for many of my students, when they survey their community, is not one of inspiration or hope. I have great expectation for them and my students have such a wide range of talents and abilities that they don't even know about. It breaks my heart to hear some of their stories. As I get to know them more, it's hard not to want to do everything within my power to give them some of the resources other schools are blessed with. Thank you.
Many of my students learn best when they can see the material visually and would greatly benefit from this Epson projector in the classroom. The use of media and visuals is something specific I need to implement in order to meet the needs of my students IEP plans. Some of my students have goals in language arts that require a more intensive approach by utilizing UDL strategies and having this projector in the classroom will go a long way to servicing those needs.
I love using interactive games, like Kahoot, to keep my kids not only engaged in the subject matter but also as a means to service various forms of learning styles.
This Epson projector will give me more options to service my diverse learner's needs and provide a way to visualize the material. Any and all help is appreciated and will greatly benefit the school as a whole during this school year and beyond.
