My Project

Hello donors,

I am a kindergarten teacher in Hawaii.

My students have a beautiful classroom rug; however, it has become very dirty and stained over the years. This is because my classroom has open windows daily. In kindergarten, since we spend much of our time on the rug, the rug is one of the most integral parts of our classroom. I know my kindergarteners would appreciate having a new, clean rug in their classroom.

Kindergarten is most kids' first experience in the school setting. Because of that, a kindergarten teacher needs to make school fun and engaging. Other items on my list will help make my classroom fun and engaging. These items include many prizes that support positive behavior support instruction through Class Dojo Points, sticker behavior charts, and whole-class rewards. Students are taught to follow rules and expectations, and those who follow them receive various incentives and other fun prizes. I always buy these incentives/rewards with my own money, so your donations will help so much.

The last few items I have added to this project include various tools for some of my kids with extra needs. These items include timers, a wiggle seat, pencil grips, and egg-shaped crayons.
