My students need Chromebooks to be an active participant in a blended learning environment. The Chromebooks will allow every student the opportunity to explore and shape their individual learning path using this technology.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"You're off to Great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so . . . Get on your way!" -- Dr. Seuss
Living by the words of Dr. Seuss, my students are uniquely special and amazing.
They represent a small population within an urban setting that excels in math and language arts. These inner-city students have amazing brains when it comes to complex problem-solving. They allow no problem to go unsolved.
Regardless of their economic challenges and limited resources, our students always strive for excellence.
My Project
The Chromebooks I am requesting will allow the students displaced by Hurricane Maria the opportunity to feel fully engaged in learning by the use of technology. The content can be translated into their native language and cultural connections can be reached more effectively. The blended learning concept will not only allow for individual learning paths but for students to collaborate on projects with one another.
Without memory, there is no culture.
Without memory, there would be no civilization, no society, no future. - Elie Wiesel
These children deserve the right to keep and maintain the valuable memories of their homeland. These memories will be preserved by having the proper technology to explore beyond what they have access. Your generous donation will help their memories continue to grow.
