My students need a new learning easel and station to easily take our writing and reading resources around the classroom. A new easel means less down-time between set up, and easier access for students to participate.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a diverse, multi-lingual elementary school with a strong sense of community. I teach in a Kinder classroom where my students constantly surprise me with their wit, grit, and eagerness to learn.
My students are bright, curious, and hard working.
They love learning about the world and absolutely love being in the classroom.
Our Kindergarten community is strong-- all of our Kinders and TK-ers (100 little learners!) get together and experience learning as a community at least a few times a week. Our school truly is a village. We have many ELLs at our school who benefit from visual learning and group work.
My Project
This new learning easel will allow us to have easier access to materials when we need them-- like markers, shapes, and magnetic manipulatives!
Less down time means more learning!
We can be mobile around the room, and switch between various charts with ease! Our students will also have access to writing for their peers using this easel. They can stand in front, and participate in shared writing where they hold the pen! They can be leaders in the classroom with the ability to reach and interact with a learning station.
We use our easel daily for word study, math, reading workshop and writing workshop.
