Help me give my students a powerful, lightweight Apple MacBook Air that supports 3D printer scanning software, Adobe CC, and musical composing software.
My fourth graders are motivated, hard-working, and inquisitive students who really love solving tough problems and expressing themselves artistically.
They take school very seriously and love to impress adults with how smart and talented they are!
Our school building closed down in March in order to allow for social distancing but my students are still doing a lot of learning at home. Some of the projects they've been working on are designing websites with facts and personal experiences about the pandemic and creating digital animations to thank essential workers.
My Project
The computers that our school provides are very useful for cloud-based applications but do not support some of the software I'd like to use to support my students during this pandemic. Some of the programs I'd like to use to create digital content for my students are Adobe Creative Cloud, musical composing software, video editing software, and 3D scanning software for 3D design.
Many experts predict that schools will continue to follow a distance-learning model of online learning for parts of the 2020-2021 school year if no vaccine is available.
I want to be able to create engaging digital content such as eBooks and interactive videos.
This light, portable computer will improve the efficiency of designing digital content and lessons for my students. I will be able to design, record, create, and share lessons in a way that was previously not possible. Thank you for your support!
