I have the privilege of spending my weekdays with 25 amazing third graders. My students come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and experiences, which makes our learning community a great place to be. Our school has just over 50% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is grades 3-5, with 6 classes per grade level.
My classroom is full of eager, enthusiastic learners.
My students love to learn and experience new things. These third graders have big dreams, and they are working hard to achieve them!
My Project
I have asked for two wobble stools. I have had the opportunity to borrow and use wobble stools with my students in the past. They make a huge difference in student engagement and give students an opportunity to safely wiggle. Some students learn better when their body is able to move. I would love to have two of my very own.
Food helps to fuel the body and the brain.
Students cannot focus when they are hungry. We have a daily snack time, but many students are unable to bring a snack for themselves. At the beginning of the year I provide snacks for my students. Hunger should never be a barrier to learning!
I have also requested new read aloud books. I would love to read these to my students to help support our classroom community!
