Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

National Board Certification (NBCT) is the most respected professional certification available as an educator nationwide. National Board Certification is a rigorous process by which teachers become more effective in the classroom. Research shows that students of Board-Certified teachers learn more than students in classrooms without Board-Certified teachers. National Board Certification will allow me to improve my teaching and demonstrate my dedication to English Language (ELs) students and Students with Disabilities that are also learning a second language.

I currently teach K-5 ELs, which is a very diverse group of students.

Most students need Response to Intervention strategies, and the platform of NCBT is assisting ELs with diverse learning needs. They deserve the best! I began working on my National Boards this year, and to get started I need assistance paying the registration fee. The Binders will be used to store all print copy papers I must store for student samples. This will allow me to store my hard work and instructions from NBCT.

NCBT will allow me to showcase to my students the true meaning of a lifetime learner. By being the best I know I can be, I can further my own education, while offering the best education I can give to my students.
