My Students

The school I teach in is quite special, as we are the first Expeditionary Learning School in our state! This learning model is more hands-on, more real world, and more student led. We focus on academics AND character building. It is an exciting model that we're all quite proud to be a part of!

I may be biased, but my students are the best in the world!

They are curious, exciting, musical, thoughtful, loving, and all around good kids. They come from various backgrounds and homes, but we work together so well.

Students absolutely love coming to music class! I see each class every three days and they make sure to tell me in the hallway, "We have music today Ms. A!" with the most exciting look on their faces. It's an amazing feeling to see them enjoy the art of music so much.

My Project

A subscription to Music K-8 magazine will give my students multiple options to sing, play, dance, and create music. It will give my students something to look forward to as each new issue would be a surprise. We can open it together, listen and learn the songs together, and really enjoy everything that this wonderful resource has to offer. This magazine subscription will also be a great resource to future students as no two issues are ever the same! We will be able to start a growing resource for our music classroom to enjoy for many years to come. At our school, each grade performs a music program each year. This magazine will give us many more options for performance possibilities.
