My Students

I have an amazing group of 25 third grade students! They are passionate about learning, creative, and eager to learn more and more each day. The number of questions and wonderful thoughts that flow out of their minds each day inspires me to provide an amazing classroom environment for them as well as thrilling and engaging learning experiences.

As Stephen King said, "Books are a uniquely portable magic." It is my goal to make each and every one of my students feel as if they are magically being transported into a world of wonder and mystery through books the books they read.

My students come from all walks of life but yet still share the same goal of being the best students, friends, learners, and readers that they can be. I am proud and honored to call myself their teacher!

My Project

As a first year teacher, I have made it my goal to make sure that each of my students has the tools and skills to be successful both in and out of my classroom. With that being said, a first year teacher does not always have the means to provide that for their students. This is where I am asking for your help!

My students love reading, especially nonfiction!

They are always asking for more books about this or more books about that but I am finding myself not being able to provide. I want nothing more than to give them the options of nonfiction texts that they deserve.

I am asking for your help stocking my classroom library filled with nonfiction books for these wonderful students. Many of them are lower readers so the need for them to be exposed to a variety of texts is much needed. Many of these books will be used for guided reading as well as throughout a large unit revolving around nonfiction text. The book bins will provide a safe place to store these books in my library.

My kids deserve the best library I can give them. Thank you so much for your consideration.
