A Mishmash of Needs!

My students need magnet rings to explore and understand how North and South poles affect each other. In addition, we are in need of an electric pencil sharpener, dry erase markers, and colored pencils.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school with more than 70% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. These students are very eager to to learn, and get frustrated and embarrassed when they don't have the materials they need right at hand.

I like to make sure my students have all the materials they need without having to feel like they are begging.

To be able to just hand them a dry erase marker or a colored pencil when needed without asking why they don't have the materials on their own would be priceless.

My Project

Students will be able to work without having to struggle with not having materials needed. They will be able to sharpen pencils, show answers with their dry erase boards, and color code tests and notes.

Every day we need pencils, dry erase markers, and colored pencils.

An electric pencil sharpener will keep us working without having to deal with a hand crank sharpener that only sometimes works! Dry erase markers are also essential, as we use them daily in many subjects to show our thinking to the teacher. Colored pencils will help us color code many of our notes & test taking skills.

Finally, we would like magnets to explore North and South Poles! These items will allow students to explore with concrete materials that will teach them how the poles work.
