Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all an ELL population with varying degrees of need and classroom support in literacy and math. They have come from many different places and speak many different languages.

We are back to teaching face to face and we are seeing our students working hard!

My Project

Our students in my Title 1 inner-city urban school district are eager to read ach class period in ELA.

Our school is taking part of the "Million Minutes Reading Challenge"- where as a school we have been challenged to read a million minutes.

My students are super excited to be a part of this, and have requested books in their favorite genre, Menga. Sadly, I have none in my current library, and I am hoping to be able to provide them some books they are eager to read! Reading increases vocabulary and reading fluency.
