A Metamorphosis in 3rd Grade Literacy and Math Cycles
My students need an iPad to assist with motivation in exploring reading, writing, math, and science apps; individually and within small groups.
Life within our classroom is structured but relaxed. Students are encouraged to think outside the box, to problem solve and explore their ideas. Creative thoughts are valued and explored.
Students in my classroom are excited to learn!
They love hands-on lessons and activities. They love pursuing things that interest them and they love technology that challenges them. I really enjoy teaching third grade, as children in third grade get excited about school. It is a great time to get students involved in learning and pursuing interests.
An iPad in the classroom will enable us to better integrate technology in the classroom and across the curriculum. It will be incorporated into our Daily 5 routine. Students will be able to read ebooks, listen to stories being read, and work on their writing skills. For math, it will be integrated into our math rotation, where students explore problem solving, review past skills, and explore new areas of study. Access to the internet will allow students to conduct research for several assignments in science and will assist students in creating various projects . An iPad is a key technology tool that will help bring the world to the classroom.
Please consider supporting my iPad project.
I would love to share all of the wonderful apps available, but there are too many to mention that support student learning to name here. Students today are very motivated to explore learning through technology, and your donation would help support their curiosity.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
