My students need access to colored pencils and pens to grade their work and to make reading their graphs easier.
Our students are part of a diverse community where students are given the opportunity to explore and persevere. Our students come from mostly low to average income families.
Our students are given the opportunity to do different service activities in and out of school.
They are given opportunities to serve in capacities where they would not normally be able to participate.
Our students are taught to be open minded and balanced in all areas of their lives. They are taught to be communicators, thinkers, inquirers, risk-takers, knowledgeable, and reflective.
My students will improve their learning when they can self-correct. Having colorful writing utensils will provide them with a way to easily tell the difference between their original thinking and their corrected thinking.
Students like using color, and it adds a little spark to doing math.
I am teaching my students how to write effective notes for studying and having these pens, pencils, and tabs can help significantly while they are learning to color code.
These supplies will be very useful when students are working on projects as well. Having what is needed in a classroom definitely helps improve learning. Please help provide these supplies, such as gel and felt tip pens, pencils and a pencil case, and Post-It notes.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
