I teach special needs students in our district. The students that I work with are hard working, dedicated, amazing, and exceptional. They work through daily challenges in school socially and academically. Many have difficulty accessing their learning with some of these materials they will be able to access their learning. My students are exceptional and they often teach me important skills as often as I teach them. Our district is diverse with many students coming to the United States without knowing English. All these students persevere and work hard!
I am seeking funding for my exceptional students.
Often I have to search for various techniques and materials outside of my classroom. My students need tools such as books such as Following Directions and writing prompts books, and math games that geared for their individualized learning needs. Having a classroom that is organized and full of colorful materials such as sharpies, penicils and organizers is immensely helpful for their projects. Students use headphones for listening to audio books online. When they have the materials they need they are inspired to grasp new material and become their exceptional scholars!
