My students need a classroom carpet. It will help make our classroom warm and inviting and help reduce noise levels. My students will learn from the carpet daily and it will help work on spatial awareness.
I have eighteen sweet and easily lovable students from all different ethnic backgrounds. The neighborhoods and nearby communities that surround our school is wide and diverse. I have a variety of students that have pre-kindergarten exposure and some that start fresh in Kindergarten.
My students are energetic and curious about the world around them!
They are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! When introduced new tops and skills their little faces light up with excitement and eagerness to learn. In my class we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and different learning options to ensure that each of my student's needs are met.
My Project
I want to welcome and provide a friendly and inviting Kindergarten classroom for my students. By having a classroom carpet, my students will have an assigned space for them to sit on during whole group instruction as well as be able to play on during center time.
A bright and colorful carpet will make my classroom feel more comfortable and help them be able to focus during instruction.
The carpet will be used daily during our whole group learning and also during reading.
We are also asking for a safe and sturdy shelving for our books. A bookshelf is desperately needed in my classroom to house our classroom library. My students love to read books! Our classroom books need a durable home and an area that is easily accessible to the students. The book shelf should be able to hold a good portion of our books and help them from bending.
