The 66 culturally diverse students who make up the dynamics of my classroom are amazing, inquisitive 5th graders from a small town in Florida.
They are eager to learn and set high expectations for themselves.
They love learning and love to participate in engaging and interactive lessons in the classroom. We strive daily to build on our learning and develop a character that will allow us to become independent classroom citizens.
Students thrive on having opportunities in the classroom that they are not always presented within their homes and the goal is to provide them with more opportunities to learn in a fun and creative way!
My Project
I am requesting nonfiction and fiction books to add to our classroom library. These books will be incorporated into our daily literacy instruction, whether that be through a read aloud during a lesson or during students independent reading time. Students will also be able to check out books from my classroom library to read at home.
The books I have chosen to include in this project are titles that students have shown interest in reading.
I would love to give them the opportunity to read these books within our classroom.
Every student should have the opportunity to read books that interest them. I may not be able to provide every student with a book at home, but I want to ensure that books are available at school. Will you help bring us new classroom books?
