This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is "Dripping With Successful Readers! "My students are special because they have a deep love for reading and technology. They are inquisitive and enjoy going to the computer area and Reading Park in our classroom. These students live in the inner city and are not exposed to many things that are found in other schools in Atlanta. They only get their exposure to technology and reading multiple books during school hours. Therefore, it is up to me to bring in technology and books that can help them view the world around them. I am trying very hard to provide a print-rich, technologically savvy and extraordinary book collection in the classroom so that my students can compete with students all over Atlanta.
My students are very smart and deserve to have a quality education.
They need an opportunity to have access to technology and books to help them expand their knowledge and experience academic growth in order to become a successful citizen.
My Project
Students will be able to read exciting and adventurous books during their independent reading time. They will have an opportunity to create projects and sharpen their reading skills by using the learning pads during the center time each day.
These books and learning tablets are essential in helping my students achieve higher scores on their assessments and classwork.
Students can work in small groups and one-on-one with the teacher to ensure mastery using the books and tablets.
The teacher and students can use the materials to work on individual or group projects. It is a joy to see students having a desire to read more by using materials that can aid in their success.
