Our classroom is the district's K-5 autism program, which is housed within a neighborhood public elementary school. Our students have a diverse range of strengths, needs, and socioeconomic backgrounds. From adaptive art groups all the way to individual education times, our students access skill building activities that are structured to meet their ever evolving individual needs. Over half of our students qualify for the free/reduced-price breakfast and lunch program. Our highly talented and devoted staff works hard to support these amazing kids each day so they can have successful and engaging school days.
My Project

Reinforcers vary greatly between people; every individual needs and wants different things. Many of the students in our classroom have edibles as one of their choices for preferred reinforcement.These edibles help to provide positive reinforcement for the safe, respectful, responsible and socially appropriate academic and behavioral choices the students make throughout the day.
By being able to provide our students with a wide variety of choices we can meet the reinforcement needs of our students throughout their school day.
