Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are extra special to me because I have had the opportunity to get to know and work with many of their older siblings or relatives. Many of my students deal with issues and stress in their home lives that young children should be exempt from, yet they continue to persevere and show up with mostly positive attitudes every day!
I am committed to making their time at school with me fun, positive, and effective.
My way of doing this is to provide exciting and engaging lessons where students are eager and excited to participate, as well as ensure that they feel loved, supported, and cared for.
My Project
The books requested in this project come from the "A Little Spot of Feelings/ Emotions" Book Series. I am wanting to have a copy of these books in my classroom so that students can read and learn more about the emotions and feelings that they experience. Eventually, I would like to have the set of plushies that go with the books, but I am trying to get a set of the books first.
I believe these will books will allow my students an engaging and fun way to learn more about their feelings and emotions!
