My Students

The students in our building are extremely bright, witty, and ready to explore each and every day! We live in a very rural community surrounded by woods and farmland, but we would not change it for anything. We are proud of where we live and how we have grown to overcome many challenges.

Our students are our greatest success, and we need to continue to help them become their own person while working together.

Many of my students come from homes that lose electricity and water on a regular basis. They come from homes that don't have food to eat. They live in multi-family homes, single-parent homes, with only grandparents, and some don't live with family at all. It is our job to help them overcome these challenges and give them opportunities to help them grow.

My Project

My students love to play kickball at recess. Currently, we do not have bases to play with and would love to finally get a set to have at recess. Students will have a safe designated base to run to once we get these. I am also in need of some wireless technology. The wireless pen and stylus will allow me to present my lessons to my students in a more clear manner. As of now, I have to try to use my mouse to write with, and this is very difficult to do. Students will be able to watch me solve specific math problems right on their computers and feel like they are sitting in my class.
