Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are busy little bees this year. They have lots of energy and love to learn and create. With your donations my little kiddos can have an amazing 2019 school year with materials that will last for years to come. These kids love to dress up and get messy. All my students come from low income homes with many English Language Learners. I want to push their capabilities to learn through exploration.
My students have a passion for learning, that I want to keep alive.

My Project
My students have been very busy this year. We have gone through a lot of highlighters. We use them to highlight sight words and during our decoding sessions. My kids also need equipment for outside to keep them entertained since they cannot currently get on the wet grass. I would like to give them a limbo stick to keep them busy. Many of our younger students complain that the volleyballs are too hard for them to hit and leave welts on their skin. For this reason I am requesting two massive volleyballs for the kids to throw over the nets. The balls are soft and won't hurt them.
My students need a Kindle reader to get them excited about learning.
Kids in today's society are used to being plugged into the internet. Graphic novels are expensive and in high demand. Having a Kindle would make it possible for me to purchase a list of graphic novels for the kids to read. We purchased a digging kit from Michael's so the kids can excavate dinosaur bones. The kit came with a few tools and some brushes. We would like to try an electric toothbrush to see if it will make the process faster. We also are asking for small prizes such as stickers.
