This year I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade in a rural elementary school in Virginia. I have students from all socioeconomic backgrounds and various family situations. We also have many military families that we welcome in our school.
Many students receive reading support, math intervention, or other supports throughout the year to help them be successful in all academic areas.
I strive to give my 2nd graders a safe, creative environment, and provide them with meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
Students love to be rewarded for various things throughout the day. My treasure box is low on exciting goodies, so the party favor assortment will be used to fill my treasure box. Candy is always a big hit, so the Jolly Ranchers candy will be given out for good behavior, participation, returning signed items, etc.! The white paper bags will be perfect for students to decorate and use for their Valentine's Day cards and other crafts. Finally, I will use the mobile podium to move around the room and store important items that I may need throughout the day for the students.
