My students need water bottle holders to allow more focus time on tasks and a lot less mess on desks with sweating water bottles!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I use to travel from room to room to teach, but next fall, I/m going to have my own classroom! However, this room is on the 4th floor of a 120 year old building and my room does not have air conditioning!
I have the wonderful job of teaching Social Studies (History & Geography) to about 400 students!
It is daunting teaching from 2nd through 6th grade (ages 7 to about 12 or 13, depending upon their circumstances). I'm looking forward to having lots of fun making this subject even more interesting and exciting. I teach in East Harlem and this is my 22nd year!
My Project
If you have a (frozen) water bottle at work, it sweats and drips all over the desk. Now picture a classroom in which up to 150 or so kids (come and go), sit and put their water bottle atop the desk. Any papers (notebooks) they place there will get water damage. I found a cool gadget that will keep water bottles out of the way (yet nearby for those oh-so-thirsty moments). It's a handy holder that attaches to chair or desk legs! As an added bonus, it prevents the bottles from constantly falling off the desks (usually hitting my feet as I wander by!). Since there isn't any air conditioning in my classroom, I have to allow students to bring in their water bottles into class. This gadget will certainly help all of us.
