My students need Hear Myself Phones to enhance independent reading. Lap trays give some kids alternate seating options when learning. Lastly wobble seats help the jittery kiddos to work with a little movement.
My third grade students live in a small, rural town or in the surrounding countryside. They are hard workers with much determination. These little kids have big hearts and creative minds.
My students attend a Title One school, pulling all of its resources together to get the students the needs that will make them successful.
My students and I are very fortunate to have the staff and administration we do. This school district works hard to meet the needs of our students while keeping them in engaged.
As a teacher I am always striving to make things more interesting and fun for my students. I know they will learn more if they are engaged and excited about the process of learning.
My Project
The items I am hoping to add to my classroom are things that will help my students in a wide range of their everyday learning experience. As we all know it can be uncomfortable and boring sitting in those hard classroom chairs all day. This project gives my students the opportunity to have a little cushion, wiggle or even sit on the floor while working. If they are more comfortable they will be focused on the lesson.
Today some students need a little movement to focus on the independent work therefore wobble seats will give them that little bit.
The Hear Myself Phones will be handy for students reading independently as they can hear themselves allowing them to practice aloud without bothering others.
The Lap trays give kids an option for seating when they are having difficulty sitting in a chair all day. This gives them that option to sit on the floor but still have a work space.
